Our tentative trip itinerary is below. Of course, we will be flexible to the needs and desires of Canaan- we are going to serve! We are taking costumes and props and hope to conduct a Nativity Play that children of Canaan will perform for others. We are also bringing Child Evangelism Fellowship curriculum and crafts supplies (for bubbles, playdough, puppets, and sheep, and gospel bracelets) with hopes to conduct a Bible School for the children of Canaan and from the village. We could have hundreds of kids! Pray that God does a loaves and fishes miracle if needed!

Team Uganda
Our team began to form in Fall of 2006 and its members are from different churches and live in different areas of the United States. We can see God's hand in the formation of our team!
Team Leaders: Beth and Don Sears
Team Members: Megan Bryant, Paula Haines, Tim Hawks, Molly O'Neill, and Laura Pilgrim
Please check out our team member profiles to know our team even better!
The Columbus team members leave on January 1, 2006 at noon, have a layover in New York and Amsterdam, and arrive in Entebbe, Uganda at 9pm on January 2. Then we will load up the van and head to Canaan (approximately 3 hrs. from the airport). We will be exhausted but excited about the adventure! Our team will be involved in many ministry opportunities- to the children and young adults of Canaan and the surrounding area, as well as the Canaan staff. Bible school curriulum, a nativity play, and young adult discussion topics are some of the preparations being made before our departure.

Canaan Children's Home
Canaan Children's Home, a refuge for Ugandan children, was started by Pastor Isaac Wagaba more than 25 years ago. These children have come from all over Uganda- many of their parents have died of AIDS or killed at the hands of northern rebels. These precious children now praise God who provides for them through Canaan Children's Home- clean water, food, education, and medical care. If you would like to read more about Isaac's testimony, the orphanage, or profiles on the children, please go to their website at www.canaanchildrenshome.org
