We are here! (a message from Laura)
We have made it safely to Uganda! Our flights were very long and tiring, but no problems at all. We were so thankful to arrive safely. The past 3 days have been busy and fun. We were going to try to get on the Internet and post messages but the Internet was down- we're sorry if you were trying to hear from us! But now we should be able to leave a lot of messages. The children here are wonderful- so full of joy, smiles, and hugs. It really makes you feel like you are special. 'Muzungo (white person), how are you" is something we hear all day- they are so sweet! They love to play with our hair and skin, sit on our lap, and talk to us. They ask so many questions! I have been feeling well and sleeping very well- and the food is very good! Mama Rebecca cooks so well, and treats us very specially. Too bad I will probably not lose much weight! haha! I am really looking forward to teaching the children next week. I enjoy just meeting them and talking right now, but I really want to teach the things I have prepared. Earlier today I did a Bible study with the older girls (13 and older). It was on James 3 and it went so well! I hope to meet with them every day. There is so much love here, and I can see the joy of God so clearly. It has been a blessing. I miss you, Mike very much and I love you. I look forward to seeing you and my small group girls, and everyone else in a week and a half. The time is going very quickly (just as everyone said it would). Thank you for your prayers. God has done more than I have expected already! I will try to write more later!

PTL for such wonderful news from a far country! I continue to pray for H.S. presence, power and protection for all- obviously, God is answering that prayer!!Glad to know that you are learning names quickly, sleeping/eating well- also answers to this mom's prayer! I am praying for quick/confident recall as you teach about the Lord Jesus all week! Love, Mom
Greetings from 5th Grade Sunday School class at Northwest Presbyterian Church,in Dublin, OH.
We are so glad you made it to Uganda. We pray for all of you on your Missions Trip to Uganda. Our Sunday School class wanted to share with you two verses from the Bible. I Thessalonians 1:2 - We give thanks to God always for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers, and Colossians 3:23-24 - Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
God Bless You,
NW 5th Grade Sunday School Class
